If you have outtakes that are similar to the photos you submitted, please remember not to post them anywhere.  I know we’re a bunch of instant gratification junkies but the rush of unveiling your photo at the calendar party in November will make it all worthwhile.

We’ll have our choices ready by June 1st and that’s when you’ll be notified whether you’re in or not.

This year is going to be a banner year for the calendar, just you wait and see.  If you thought last year rocked, we plan to outdo ourselves this year, so be prepared to spend an outrageous, event filled weekend in NYC in November.

Here is JD’s reply:

HotMoviesForHer.com is part of the larger HotMovies.com family and we offer nearly their entire 130,000+ movie catalog to our viewers. While we don’t actively promote some of the movies on the site, including the movies in question, we don’t take issue with them being searchable on HM4Her. We think it’s important that women have a safe place to search out porn, no matter what kind of consensual porn they are interested in finding. Who are we to say that a certain kind of porn is not ok for women to watch. Adults can decide what they prefer to watch. There are many things out in the world that offend people, and while we understand that they are offensive to some, we don’t judge that it turns some people on. No matter what the movie is called, there are still consenting adults who decide to participate in it.

As for “crack whore” movies specifically. We don’t promote those movies to our readers, nor do we encourage people to watch them. If the term “crack whore” ever comes up in anything we are watching or promoting, we do the same thing that we do for anything we find personally offensive, we call it out and talk about it being offensive.

In the end, everyone might not approve of everything we have, but when it comes to changing our library, we can’t go on the opinions of what is offensive. We’d have nothing left.

I thought I would post a round up of what our models have been up to lately and what some people are saying about us.  So here goes…..

To kick off the week Calico offered a little incentive to get people motivated buying days.  It appears to be a great success if her many posts are an indication. Mina took that idea and also posted some incentives of her own which if sales are any indication seems to have worked.  Mina also had her first Hogtied shoot up this week.

Mollena deciding to help out our sales purchased twelve days in the calendar but unbeknownst to her she somehow ended up renting two fetish models.  I can’t wait to see the photos.

N offered her own special incentive for buying days with tickets to HyperGender.

Nikol Hasler was talking about what she is up to out in Los Angeles.  Did you know Midwest Teen Sex Show is shooting a pilot for Comedy Central right now?  Don’t worry we’ll get Nikol back to NYC for the calendar release party on November 6th.

That about wraps it up for this week.  It has been both a fun and a crazy week for us here as we finish up photo shoots, sponsors and selling the personalized days.  Yesterday we received a very generous donation toward the calendar that will go directly to Sex Work Awareness.   The support we have gotten once again this year has been overwhelming.  A giant Thank You to everyone who has been part of that.

For us to produce this calendar it costs money and I think we all realize how scarce that is these days not just among us who write or read sex blogs but also among all the companies that are somehow associated with sex. Not long ago I started approaching companies asking them to support Sex Work Awareness and be a sponsor on the 2010 calendar.

It was a mixed reaction I received. There were some companies that didn’t even bother to respond to me, some that without asking any questions said no and then there were the wonderful ones that said yes. Sponsors who even in these hard economic times believed in the need for the work Sex Work Awareness is doing and understood how important that they have the funding they need to continue to do that work. To be able to hold more of their Speak Up! media training not just here in New York City but in other parts of the country too.

There are many companies out there who all want our business and who will offer us free products or a small percentage of their sales but there are only a select few who will put out actual money to support something such as Sex Work Awareness. These companies could be spending that money on actual advertising elsewhere but chose to instead give it to us and make the 2010 NYC Sex Blogger Calendar possible.

I hope as bloggers, readers, sex workers, sex worker allies just to name a few, thatwhen you are thinking of making a purchase from any online company and see these badges you will remember that part of what you are spending there is being donated to things such as the NYC Sex Blogger Calendar and Sex Work Awareness.
